Tangling Tentacles (Ex) Although a grindylow can’t attack to cause damage with her six tentacles, these wriggling legs constantly writhe and reach out to tug at and trip adjacent foes. During the grindylow’s turn, she can make a single trip attack against any adjacent foe as a swift action. She gains a +4 racial bonus on trip attacks made with her tangling tentacles, and if she fails to trip a foe, that creature can’t attempt to trip the grindylow in retaliation.
Bloodline Arcana: Draconic Whenever you cast a spell with an acid descriptor, that spell deals +1 point of damage per die rolled.
Bloodline Arcana: Elemental EarthWhenever you cast a spell that deals energy damage, you can change the type of damage to be acid. This also changes the spell’s type to match the type of your bloodline.
Bloodline Power: Acid RayYou can unleash an acid ray as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. This ray deals 1d6 points of acid damage, + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.


Kelpflower was one of the grindylows on Bonewrack Isle who knocked out Zarrnok and dragged him off. Kelpflower later participated in the taking of the Man’s Promise.

Kelpflower joined the crew of the ship and sailed to Port Peril from Bonewrack Isle. She was interrogated by Peppery Longfarthing concerning the events at the island. She was present in Rickety’s Squibs when the Man’s Promise became the Quipper.

Kelpflower, Grimbilnuk, and Fuzzy Mela killed Axmaw the bugbear in exchange for gold. They were hired by Orgokra, who claimed to only want to free her village but who may also have wanted revenge on her ex-boyfriend.

Kelpflower was kidnapped by sahuagin while the hobgoblins were on Crown Island. They rescued her the next day.

Kelpflower stayed with the Quipper when Sandara took command of the Truewind.
